Marine Support has secured a major contract to supply critical equipment to Norsea Polarbase

Marine Support has entered into a major agreement with Polarbase for the delivery of two new advanced tank facilities in Hammerfest. 

The delivery consists of several storage tanks. The tanks are equipped to function in polar regions. This includes insulation to reduce heat loss/save energy, as well as a system to ensure heating of the tanks during the winter months. 

Marine Support also has an option to supply electrical installations, piping systems and automation systems. Such deliveries can be supplied in whole or in part by the EQVA group. 

The facility is scheduled to be completed within the next 5-6 months. 

About Polarbase
NorSea Polarbase is located in Rypefjord, about four km from the center of Hammerfest.
The base is spread over five quays, totaling 500 meters. This also includes a deep-water quay. NorSea Polarbase is the most complete base for activity in the Barents Sea and an important part of Norwegian maritime infrastructure. The base celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and has over the years developed into a "one stop shop to the Barents Sea", with its 500 acres, 50,000 m2 of indoor area and 70 employees. The base provides terminal, crane and technical services, as well as rental of infrastructure and personnel.
